Tasnia Islam
Tasnia Islam is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Notre Dame University Bangladesh. Prior to joining the university, she worked as a Lecturer and subsequently as an Assistant Professor at Presidency University, where she had been teaching English literature since 2011.
She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in English Literature from Jahangirnagar University. Her areas of academic interest include Cultural Studies, Translation Studies, and Gender Studies.
Tasnia Islam has published several research articles in peer-reviewed national journals. In addition to her academic work, she actively translates both literary and non-literary texts between Bengali and English. Her translation work has appeared in prominent literary magazines in Bangladesh. She has also recently published a number of original creative writings.
Luna Rahnuma
Rakibul Alam
Md. Rakibul Alam, a lecturer in English at Kishoreganj University, holds B.A. and M.A. degrees from the English Department of Rajshahi University. His scholarly pursuits encompass Philosophy, Postcolonial Studies, Cultural Studies and Translation Studies. He is a writer, editor and translator. Despite being acutely aware of the falsities humans tell themselves and the brutalities they exhibit, he still upholds his deep faith in human possibility. He aspires for a time when we recognize our deep-rooted inclination toward mass conformity and a type of regularized existence and counter it with love, forgiveness and promises as our final alternatives.
Mazhar Ziban
Saber-E-Montaha
Md. Saber-E- Montaha is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Northern University Bangladesh. Currently on study leave, he is pursuing his second Master’s degree in English at the University of North Dakota (UND), USA, where he also serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. He previously earned his first Master’s in English Literature from the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh, in 2015. Academically, Saber is interested in exploring the interdisciplinary intersections of cultural studies, particularly the ways in which literature reflects the complexities of identity formation. His research interests include intersectionality, displacement, trauma theory, identity theory, and the influence of virtual spaces on identity. In addition to his scholarly pursuits, Saber is a dedicated literary translator. He has translated and published many works of prominent Bangla literature into English. Driven by a passion for
cross-cultural exchange, he envisions introducing the richness of Bangladeshi literature to a diversified global readership through thoughtful and nuanced translation.
Saklain Gourab
Saklain Gourab is a poet, translator, and editor whose work explores the entanglements of language, memory, and resistance. A young poet struggling against the harshness of reality, he wears the illusory yet beautiful sunglasses of beauty to make sense of the world around him. For him, translation is a creative tool that bridges cultures, reimagines meaning, and gives new life to voices across languages.
